Some questions we get asked pretty often…

  • Are pets allowed? If so, how many and what sizes?

    Unfortunately we do not allow pets at Chesterman House.

  • What time is check-in and check-out normally?

    Check-in time is 4:00PM. Check-out is 11:00AM.

  • Do we need to bring our own linen and towels?

    We provide linens and towels for showering. Please bring your own beach towels.

  • Is there a landline in the house?

    Yes, there is a landline at Chesterman House. The number is provided upon full payment, 30 days prior to arrival.

  • If we leave anything behind will it be returned to us?

    Absolutely! It usually costs between $20–$25 CDN to ship. We do not cover the delivery fees.

  • Do you provide housekeeping items?

    We include a “Welcome Program Package.” It contains household supplies: paper towels, detergent, dishwashing liquid (if no dishwasher), garbage bags, etc.

  • Are sales tax included in the rental fee?

    Government Sales Tax (GST) only.

  • Is there an additional cleaning fee?

    No cleaning fees unless the house is a mess.

  • Is smoking allowed outside of this Chesterman House?

    Yes, if you must. Absolutely no smoking indoors.

  • Is Chesterman House handicap-accessible?

    No.

  • Is there a pool close by?

    No. However, the Pacific Ocean is just outside…

  • During what time of the year are there a lot of mosquitos?

    Occasionally during the summer. They are seldom an issue.

  • How far is the closest hospital/emergency room?

    5 miles/7 km into town.

  • How close is the nearest grocery store/supermarket?

    1 mile/2 km from Chesterman House, small resort grocery store. 5 miles / 7km into town for the large grocery store.
